Los Banos Police ask for help identifying suspect accused of auto theft, burglary

The Los Banos Police Department is asking for tips concerning the identity of a suspect accused of burglary and auto theft.

The man allegedly broke into a Santos Ford building in Los Banos on Dec. 17 at 3:30 a.m. He is suspected of stealing a set of keys to a black 2019 Ford F-150 and leaving in the stolen vehicle, according to a news release.

He then traveled to another location, where he allegedly stole license plates from a parked vehicle.

Less than an hour after the theft occurred, the suspect was captured on surveillance at a Los Banos gas station purchasing gas for the stolen vehicle.
