Overturned big rig blocks lane of Highway 152 west of Los Banos, according to CHP

An overturned tractor trailer has blocked a lane of Highway 152, west of Los Banos, according to authorities.

The crash happened just after noon Monday near the Highway 152/Interstate 5 interchange, According to California Highway Patrol officer Shannon Stiers.

The truck hauling carpet was southbound on I-5 before exiting onto eastbound Highway 152 before overturning onto its side and blocking the eastbound No. 2 lane, Stiers said.

Authorities said traffic is continuing to drive through the area in the No. 1 lane.

Stiers said the driver of the truck appears to have suffered minor injuries in the crash and the California Department of Transportation is responding to the scene.

Stiers estimated that it could take crews about two hours to clear the scene of the crash.
