Missing elderly man with dementia found, Merced police say

A missing elderly man with dementia has been found, according the Merced Police Department.

Merced Police Lt. Joe Weiss said 95-year-old Clarence Nestler was reported missing to police at about 3:32 p.m. Tuesday. According to Weiss, at about 6:12 p.m., police received a call from the reporting party informing them that Nestler had been located at the intersection of Olive Avenue and G Street.

Weiss said police officers checked on Nestler after he was returned home and found the man to be unharmed.
