Los Banos flyover event to honor healthcare workers scheduled for Memorial Day
On Memorial Day there will be a flyover event in Los Banos to honor healthcare workers, first responders and other essential personnel on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic.
The flyover will include aircraft from the 129th Rescue Wing. The event, which is also being done to stand in solidarity with those personally suffering or experiencing loss during this time, will be conducted within FAA standards.
The route is set up to fly over major hospitals throughout the state, but the planes will not be touching down in the communities.
The 129th Rescue Wing is scheduled to fly over Memorial Hospital Los Banos at 1:44 p.m. Monday, 520 West I Street.
People are encouraged to head out to open spaces and look up at the sky to enjoy the flyover and join in support for those in the community.
A similar flyover happened earlier this month in Merced, conducted by the 144th Fighter Wing out of Fresno.
