Merced Courthouse Museum reopens, after being closed since March

Merced County Courthouse Museum reopened with normal operating hours this week (Wednesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) after 13 weeks of closure due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The museum environment meets the safety and health standards of California’s Phase 3 reopening, according to a museum news release.

Visitors are recommended to wear a mask and keep social distance during visits.

The current exhibit “Beyond Appearance: Portraits of Merced County Women” is on display until Sept. 20. Admission to the museum is free.
