Authorities locate missing teenager in Stockton, police say
Update:
According to the Merced Police Department, Aaliyah Hewitt, 15, who was reported missing on June 20, was located by Stockton Police on June 24 and returned to her family. Since returning home she has gone missing again, police said.
Merced Police Lt. Joe Weiss said Hewitt was in good health when she was found but was again reported missing to police on June 27. Police are trying to assess why she is running away from home, according to Weiss.
“We certainly don’t want the child out on the streets,” Weiss said. “We’d like to get her back to her home. She has family that is concerned.”
