Turlock driver ejected, killed in Highway 99 solo rollover crash near Delhi, CHP says

The California Highway Patrol is investigating after a crash on Saturday killed a woman on Highway 99 near Delhi.

CHP responded to the area of northbound Highway 99 near Shanks Road at about 8:10 p.m. for a solo-vehicle rollover crash, according to CHP Officer Eric Zuniga.

The CHP said a 35-year-old Turlock woman was driving a 2003 Nissan Altima northbound on Highway 99 in the No. 2 lane just south of Shanks Road.

For unknown reasons, the vehicle went off the right shoulder of the highway and overturned down an embankment.

According to Zuniga, the woman was ejected from the vehicle during the collision and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said it is believed she was not wearing a seat belt.

The collision which remains under investigation, according to Zuniga.
