With summer approaching, the Splash-n-Dash Aqua Park prepares to open for its eighth season and will offer new attractions to help beat the Central Valley heat.

One of the new attractions is a 150-foot long zip line, the world’s longest inflatable zip line, according to co-owner Eric Klaff.

“Guests will access the zip line from the inflatable, they will zip down and then jump into the lake,” Klaff said.

Other additions to include the Splash Attack! an extreme water tag experience that will take place in the park’s water tag arena and the Big Chivo, a 27-foot tall waterslide that doubles as the launch platform for the zip line.

The roughly 200,000 square-foot inflatable water park features several areas and inflatables for patrons of all ages to enjoy including the Action Slide Tower, Relay Dash Trax, a trampoline and swing as well as several others. For children under the age of 7-years-old or under 45 inches tall, the Lil’ Splash offers a 5,500-square-foot hands-on adult supervision experience. Parents supervising their children in the Lil’ Splash area can do so free of charge, said Klaff.

Klaff said the park features three giant inflatables at least 25-feet tall. In addition to the water park’s slides and obstacle courses are other water recreation activities including paddle boards, single and double kayak rentals and pontoon boat rentals. Klaff said Patrons can also rent cabanas and food and beverages are available for purchase from the nearby Real Deal Market and Cafe. Klaff said guests can also bring their own food and drink if they so choose.

All guests are required to sign a waiver and aqua shoes as well as life jackets are required. Guests can bring their own aqua shoes or purchase them from the park. Klaff said life jackets are provided to guests with the purchase of a ticket.

The park will open for the season on Saturday, May 24, with the season ending on Sept. 1. Hours and ticket prices vary and include weekday and weekend rates as well as group rates. Season passes are also available. General access is free for non-participating guests. Keeping the water park affordable for families is important to Klaff and as a result, he said prices have not increased and are remaining the same for the fourth straight year.

“We want to create a place where families can make memories,” he said.

The park is located at 9090 Lake McClure Road, Snelling. Additional information can be found on the Splash-n-Dash Aqua Park website.
