When will the rain stop? What the Merced weather forecast looks like

It’s been a rainy few days in Merced, and now it’s about to get colder.

The National Weather Service predicted that the Merced area could see between a quarter and a half inch of rain Monday. After that, a dry but colder system is expected to move through the region. Temperatures will be below season averages for much of the week, the NWS Hanford says.

The overnight low in Merced on Monday is expected to be around 45 degrees. Tuesday should be partly sunny, with a high near 57.

A weaker storm system may bring some more precipitation to the region again by Thursday into Friday. Conditions in Merced should finally dry out by the weekend, although it could get foggy due to the amount of moisture the Central Valley, NWS Hanford says.

The California Highway Patrol in Merced reported several spinouts over the weekend due to wet conditions.
