Atwater ice-skating rink opens this week. Here’s what it offers
Atwater’s downtown ice rink kicks off its new season this week.
The Oldtown Atwater ice rink, located at Fourth Street and Cedar Avenue, opens Friday at 6 p.m.
The rink is open from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
Days and hours change during the holiday season based on school vacation schedules. The ice rink posts weekly schedules on its social media pages and on its website, www.oldtownatwater.org.
Tickets are $15 for one hour of skating, which includes skate rental. Skate assists, which help with balance and stability, are available for $5.
The facility features a covered seating area with fire pits. There is also a concession booth.
The Atwater ice rink opened in 2021. Its inception was spurred by Old Town Atwater, a downtown-based organization.
