Below is a list of which places will be open or closed on Thursday, Nov. 27.

When are Merced grocery stores are open on Thanksgiving?
The Merced area is home to a variety of grocery stores, supermarkets and other retailers.
Here are the major chains that will be open or closed Thursday, Nov. 27, for Thanksgiving Day:
- Cardenas Markets: Open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Costco: Closed.
- Food 4 Less: Open 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- FoodMaxx: Open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Grocery Outlet: Closed.
- Raley’s: Open 6 a.m. to 3 pm.
- Save Mart: Open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Smart and Final: Open 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sprouts: Open 7 a.m to 2 p.m.
- Target: Closed.
- US Foods Chef’Store: Closed.
- Walmart: Closed.
Are Merced-area coffee shops open on Thanksgiving?
Here’s how Thanksgiving will affect hours at local coffee shops on Thursday, Nov. 27:
- ASIP Coffee Roaster Co.: Closed.
- Dutch Bros: Open 5 a.m. to noon.
- Starbucks: Open noon to 3 p.m.
- The Sensory Lab by ASIP: Closed.
Is the Merced mall open on Thanksgiving?
The Marketplace at Merced shopping center will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 27.
Individual restaurants and retailers may have different hours, so it’s best to contact them directly.
Are local pharmacies open on Thanksgiving?
Here’s how Thanksgiving will affect hours at local pharmacies and drugstores on Thursday, Nov. 27:
- CVS Pharmacy: Store open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; pharmacy open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Walgreens: Closed.
What’s closed on Thanksgiving Day in Merced?
Government offices, including the California Department of Motor Vehicles, U.S. Postal Service and public libraries will be closed on Thanksgiving, as well as most banks.
If you’re planning to run errands on Friday, Nov. 28, the day after Thanksgiving, check ahead before heading out.
Some offices, including the DMV, will remain closed that day as well.
Package delivery companies including FedEx and UPS will be closed for the holiday.
