Do you ever feel like it’s too expensive to have fun in Merced? You’re not alone.

Between rising prices and busy schedules, going out in Merced County can be a challenge.

That’s why we’re launching a new project focused on finding affordable fun in and around Merced — and we want you to come along.

Our goal is to help locals enjoy the area, try new spots and have a good time without overspending.

Once a month, we’ll explore Merced County on a $25 budget, checking out a local eatery, activity or attraction based on your suggestions.

We’ll report back with a full breakdown of what we did, what it cost and share tips for anyone who wants to try it themselves.

Whether you’re new to the Merced area or a longtime resident looking for cheap eats and low-cost things to do, we want to hear from you.
