Highway 59 in Snelling closed for police activity, Merced CHP says
Highway 59 west of Snelling was closed for several hours Monday due to police activity.
The activity is occurring between Snelling Road and Montgomery St., the California Highway Patrol in Merced said in a Facebook post.
The roadway was expected to remain closed until at least 2:30 p.m.
The CHP did not reveal what kind of police activity is taking place.
Drivers were advised to avoid the area.
