Franklin/Beachwood community fair to be held Thursday evening

The Franklin- Beachwood community fair will be held Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Merced Irrigation District maintenance yard, 3321 N. Franklin Road in Merced.

The Building Healthy Communities Project is hosting the fair, which is open to families and the community. The 150 participants to visit the BHC booth and give input will receive a ticket for a free hot dog. Hot dogs and refreshments will be for sale at the event.

Included at the community fair will be invited guests, the Merced County Sheriff's Department, gang prevention, Mercy Medical Center, Merced City Parks and Recreation, Golden Valley Health Centers, the Merced Bike Coalition and others.
