Merced County libraries get in Halloween spirit
Merced County public libraries are joining in the Halloween spirit by hosting a variety of educational events for the remainder of the week.
The fun kicked off Tuesday at the Livingston Public Library, where children of all ages dressed up in their favorite costumes and took part in an evening of games, crafts and treats.
Today, a Halloween-themed story time at the Hilmar Library will take place at 10:30 a.m. Children are encouraged to dress up.
Halloween Story Time and Craft at Los Banos Library is scheduled for Thursday at 10 a.m. Families can also drop by the library on Friday to receive a treat.
Also on Friday, a Halloween-themed Preschool Story Time at the Merced Library will take place from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Children may come dressed in their costumes. According to organizers, story time helps instill a love of books.
