Merced County’s The Bus has new routes, schedules
The Merced County Association of Governments plans three drop-in meetings beginning Tuesday to unveil new routes and schedules for riders of The Bus in Merced County.
The association’s transportation department designed new fixed routes for 2015 based on feedback from a recent ridership survey, according to a news release.
Transportation staff is encouraging the public to stop by one of the three locations to learn about the changes to routes and schedules for the coming year.
The Bus is the public transportation service provider for all of Merced County and is administered by the Transit Joint Powers Authority and managed by MCAG.
Transit Manager Rich Green and staff will be present at the meetings to review the new fixed routes and schedules with the public.
The first unveiling of routes is scheduled in Merced from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Merced Transpo, 710 W. 16th St.
The second is in Atwater from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Atwater Transpo, 779 Atwater Blvd.
The final meeting is in Los Banos from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Los Banos Community Center, 645 Seventh St.
