No injuries reported in Yosemite Parkway shooting, say Merced police
No injuries were reported after someone fired at least one gunshot at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of Yosemite Parkway early Saturday, Merced police said.
The incident was reported just after 2 a.m., according to police.
Officers responded to a shots-fired call, and discovered a single bullet had traveled through the front door of one apartment unit, passed through a wall and entered a second unit, according to Capt. Bimley West.
One unit was occupied by a 33-year-old man, while the other was occupied by a 23-year-old man. West said neither person knew why someone would shoot at their residence, and the motive is unknown.
No suspect or vehicle description is available, and officers are hoping the public will assist in identifying the shooter or those involved.
