One killed in crash on I-5 in Los Banos

A Washington state man died early Friday in a collision on Interstate 5 near Los Banos, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The accident was reported at 2:22 a.m. near Highway 152. Northbound lanes of I-5 were blocked for several hours south of the Highway 152 exit, the CHP said.

The victim was identified as Conner Tarr, 26, of Washington, according to the Merced County Coroner’s Office. Two tractor-trailer rigs and another vehicle were involved in the crash. At least one trailer rolled over, the CHP said.

By 11:12 a.m., all lanes were clear and open, the CHP reported.
