Film series

Photo exhibit
The Merced County Arts Council plans a reception at 6 p.m. Feb. 12 for its newest exhibit by Jay Sousa, called “Face of an Athlete,” featuring local athletes. The reception takes place at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center, 645 W. Main St. For more information, call 209-388-1090.
Dinner and a Movie
The Italo-American Lodge and Merced Theatre present “Dinner & a Movie,” featuring rib-eye steaks, at the lodge, 1351 W. 18th St., and “Roman Holiday” at the theater, 301 W. Second Saturdays
The Merced County Arts Council and the county Office of Education offer Becky Manandic and the South Pacific Dance Company’s Hawaiian-themed hula dancing at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 13 at the Black Box Theatre, 645 W. Main St. Open to children ages 3 to 8. Admission is $3 per child, with no charge for adults. Tickets available at the box office. Call the council at 209-388-1090.
Kaleidoscope
Merced Dance Teachers Cooperative and Merced College plan the annual Kaleidoscope dance exhibition featuring seven dance troupes with two showings at 2 and 7 p.m. Feb. 27 at Merced Theater, 3600 M St. Tickets are $10 general, $8 for students, seniors and children. For more, call 209-384-6224.
Vets on display
