Supervisor Pedrozo begins annual town hall meetings

Merced County District 1 Supervisor John Pedrozo this week announced the schedule for his annual town hall community meetings.

Each year, the supervisor holds informal meetings in Le Grand, Planada, Livingston and South Merced in an effort to reach out to constituents. This is the 10th year Pedrozo has hosted the meetings throughout his district.

Town hall meetings are informal public meetings where everyone in the community is invited to attend, voice their opinions and hear responses from county representatives, according to a news release.

“This is the 10th annual set of town hall meetings we have put together for the communities of District 1,” Pedrozo said in the release. “Town hall meetings have served as an opportunity to provide one way for the peoples of District 1 to discuss concerns and questions that are vital to our communities.

“I look forward to sharing this time with my constituents for another productive round of town hall meetings.”

Pedrozo said he has coordinated the participation of several Merced County department heads who will be on hand to answer questions or respond to concerns raised by the public.

Representatives of Rep. Jim Costa, D-Fresno, state Sen. Anthony Cannella, R-Ceres, and Assemblyman Adam Gray, D-Merced, will be invited to hear concerns expressed by District 1 residents.
