Symphony fundraiser brings Italy to Merced

Merced Symphony Association’s annual fundraiser, Savor Our Symphony Auction/Buffet, will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Italo-American Lodge, 18th and U streets.

This is the nonprofit organization’s major fundraiser for the year, with the theme “Italian Night: An Evening in Venice.”

The evening will feature hors d’oeuvres prepared by Chef Joe along with silent and live auction items for bidding. Favorite Italian themes will play in the background to enhance the ambiance. Social hour and no-host bar begin at 5:30 p.m., and the live auction begins at 7:15 p.m.

Tickets are $50 per person or $500 for a reserved table for eight. Monday is the deadline to purchase tickets. No tickets will be sold at the door.

Individual tickets are available at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center (645 W. Main St.), Big O Tires (1261 W. 18th St.), Christina’s Fine Clothing in the Galleria Center (2852 G St.), Merced Floral (2855 G St.), and Goldsmith Jewelers (3570 G St.).
