Vehicle collision slows traffic on M Street in Merced
Traffic was slowed briefly Monday morning on northbound M Street after two vehicles collided at the 21st Street intersection.
Nobody was injured, Merced Police Sgt. Jay Struble confirmed.
The collision was reported just after 11 a.m. Monday when a 19-year-old woman, who was heading south on M Street in a silver Honda, made a left turn in front of an on-coming white Dodge, police said.
“She (the Honda’s driver) had a green light, but didn’t have the green-arrow light when she turned,” Struble said.
Both vehicle sustained major damage.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were factors, police said.
Northbound traffic on M Street moved slowly for a short time as emergency responders cleaned up the scene.
