The southbound Highway 99 off ramp was shut down Thursday morning for more than an hour following an accident in the area, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A white 1999 Honda Civic rear-ended a 2012 International U-Haul truck at about 8:40 a.m. north of the Martin Luther King Jr. Way off ramp, which is Highway 59, according to CHP.

The driver of the Honda, 26-year-old Joshua Jardin of Atwater, had minor injuries, and the man in the truck, 35-year-old Francisco Terronef Jr. of Stockton, was not injured, CHP said.

The Civic was wedged under the truck so it took some time to dislodge the vehicles and reopen the off ramp, CHP said, which was done at about 10:09 a.m.
