Merced County emergency responders have closed Oakdale Road near Shaffer Road to land a helicopter following a crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The road is expected to be closed for about 20 minutes as emergency responders attend to at least one person injured when a Cadillac Escalade left the roadway, CHP said about 6:50 p.m. The extent of the injuries were not immediately available, according to CHP.
