Karaoke in Awater

Karaoke at the Hall will be from 7-10 p.m. March 4 at the Veterans Hall, 1390 Broadway Ave. The event is free and open to the public. The lounge will serve pork sliders for $2 to $2.50 each, and coleslaw is 50 cents. Singers can choose from a wide selection of music. Non-singers are welcome. Dancing and lessons

Merced College’s 2015-2016 Performance and Lecture Series features the story of one man’s mission in Africa during “Going Home: One Man’s Journey to Save Lives” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Lesher Room 111 of the 3600 M St. campus. The Los Banos Chamber of Commerce’s February mixer is with Habitat for Humanity Westside Merced County from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at its new ReStore, 1209 Sixth St. in Los Banos. Mobile office

Merced County District 3 Supervisor Daron McDaniel has scheduled monthly mobile office hours from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of every month at Atwater City Hall, 750 Bellevue Road. Breakfast for VFW

The Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Atwater offers Breakfast at the Hall from 8 to 11 a.m. on the first Sunday of each month at the Veterans Hall, 1390 Broadway Ave. The meal offers omelets and eggs cooked to order with hash browns, bacon or sausage, biscuits or biscuit and gravy for $7. Waffle with strawberries and cream served with bacon or sausage is $4, and two biscuits with sausage gravy for $3. The meal is open to the public, and proceeds go to programs for veterans.
