Merced artwork on display at courthouse

The latest round of new artwork is on display at Merced Superior Court in Merced.

Exhibit pieces are provided by artists throughout Merced and neighboring communities.

Original works of art have been displayed at the courthouse for three years, the court’s chief executive officer, Linda Romero Soles, said in a brief news release.

The newest works on display are from: Darlene Adams, Frank Ayala, Abel Corchado, Lisa Gillilan-Viney, Richard Harp, Dana Hinojosa, Jesse Hunt, Kate Jackson, Dustin Jacques, Pamela Peterson, Ruben Sanchez, Sue Thompson, Oscar Torres and Elise Torres.

Some of the artists are part of Merced Art Hop, Contemporary Humanitarian Artists Association and the Mariposa Art Company.

Artwork is displayed for three-month periods.
