Castle museum to host military appreciation day

Castle Air Museum officials plan to host a military appreciation event in July on the same day will dedicate four new vintage military aircraft exhibits.

The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 10 at the Air Museum, 5050 Santa Fe Drive in Atwater.

There will be a dedication of the Grumman S-2 Tracker Anti-submarine aircraft, Northrop Grumman EA-6 Electronic Warfare aircraft, Saab Draken European Fighter Attack aircraft and the Cessna T-37 Trainer.

The museum displays more than 60 vintage military aircraft from the past 75 years.

Additionally, the museum’s famous Bomber Burgers will be available.

A tour of the museum’s presidential aircraft will also be available for $10. The aircraft was used as Air Force 1 by Presidents Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton.
