Castle Family Health Centers to offer free screenings Saturday
Castle Family Health Centers in Atwater will host its eighth annual Summer Family Health Festival on Saturday.
The health fair will feature numerous free exams including: vision, hearing and dental screenings. Breast exams, Tdap vaccinations and diabetes screenings will also be available.
The health fair will also offer sports physicals and well-child exams at a reduced price.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 3605 Hospital Road in Atwater, at the former Air Force base.
According to organizers, the health festival is also a resource fair, where residents can learn about services available locally.
The festival usually gathers people from all across Merced County. Peter Mojarras, chief of operations at Castle Family Health Centers, said organizers are looking forward to another well-attended event.
Live performances by local dance groups and raffles throughout the event, which will include backpacks with school supplies, will also take place.
