Heading to Yosemite? You should give yourself a little extra time

Road work

People trying to get to Yosemite via Highway 140 this weekend can expect short delays due to rock scaling work, Caltrans District 10 said Wednesday.

Motorists can expect delays of 10 to 15 minutes as there will be one-way traffic control on Highway 140, Caltrans said in a Facebook post.

Caltrans will have the traffic control in place from Yosemite Cedar Lodge to the Highway 140 Temporary Bridge, the post said.

The work will be done from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
