Merced police searching for hit-and-run suspect

A 51-year-old Turlock woman was injured Wednesday when she was struck in a Merced gas station parking lot by a vehicle that sped away from the scene, the Merced Police Department reported.

Bobbie Riddle, an employee of the Arco gas station at G and Olive streets in Merced, was cleaning the parking lot just before 8:30 a.m. when she was struck by a silver 2006 Chevrolet Impala, Sgt. Jay Struble said in a news release.

She was taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. An update on her condition was not available later Wednesday.

Police are looking for 31-year-old Eduardo Lisea Jr. of Merced, the man they believe was the driver in the hit-and-run incident. Lisea was not the owner of the vehicle and lost his license after an arrest on suspicion of drunken driving, police said in the release.

Officer Craig McKeeman located the vehicle and the owner a short time after the incident, police said.

A recent photograph of Lisea was not available Wednesday. Police described him as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He may have a beard, police said.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is requested to call Struble (209)385-4739 or the Merced Police Department Tipster Line at (209) 385-4725.
