Heroin, meth, drug lab found in Merced home near school, police say
A Merced woman was arrested Saturday during a raid in which police seized a variety of drugs as well as equipment used to manufacture some of them at a house near a junior high school, the Police Department said.
Lindsey R. Manzanedo, 29, was booked into the Merced County Jail on suspicion of numerous narcotics charges, as well as maintaining a residence where narcotics were sold and utilities theft, police said in a news release.
Officers with the department’s Disruptive Area Response Team and the Gang Violence Suppression Unit served a search warrant Saturday at Manzanedo’s home in the 200 Block of Pyramid Avenue.
“The warrant was obtained after receiving complaints of possible drug activity near Weaver Middle School,” police said.
Officers found heroin, methamphetamine, hundreds of prescription pain pills, along with psilocybin mushrooms, hashish oil and more than 6 pounds of street-ready marijuana.
Police also located three separate marijuana gardens, and a psilocybin mushroom growing operation in the garage.
Officers said they also found equipment in the home used to manufacture hashish oil, sometimes referred to as “honey oil.”
Merced Police are asking anyone with any information regarding these alleged crimes to contact Sgt. Don King at (209) 384-4188, or the Merced Police Department Tipster Line at (209) 385-4725.
