Atwater police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect who is wanted for questioning in relation to stolen cash and credit cards, officials reported Tuesday.

The cash and credit cards were stolen from a wallet left inside a car in the Atwater In-Shape gym parking lot, police said. The same person used the credit cards to purchase items at the Atwater Target.

The amount charged is unknown, according to police.

Anyone with more information on the identity of this person is asked to call 209-357-6293 or the Atwater Police Department at 209-357-6396. Callers can remain anonymous.
