Livingston police are looking for two young boys suspected of setting a playground slide on fire this week at a public park.

The fire was reported about 3 p.m. Wednesday at Don Meyer Park on Natsu Road in Livingston, police Chief Ruben Chavez said. Police put damage estimates at about $30,000.

Arson is suspected, the police chief confirmed. “We’re looking for two juveniles between the ages of 10 and 13,” Chavez said.

Police said several smaller arsons have been reported in recent weeks and have not ruled out the possibility that of all the incidents are connected. “Anybody that provides information that helps us catch these guys could get a reward,” Chavez said.

The public is asked to contact Merced Area Crime Stoppers at (855) 725-2420 or go to http://mercedareacrimestoppers.org.
