Merced men arrested with 'large amount' of weed, police say

Two Merced men were arrested this week for alleged gun and drug crimes, police said on Friday.

The Gang Violence Suppression Unit learned that 34-year-old Ouseo Saelee was selling “large amounts of marijuana” from his home in the 100 block of San Clemente Drive in Merced, officers said.

The unit used a search warrant around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday to enter Saelee’s home, police said, where they him with 34-year-old Saan Saechao.

Also in the home police found large amounts of packaged marijuana, several marijuana plants, a handgun, ammunition and cash, officers said.

Both men were arrested on suspicion of sales of narcotics, conspiracy and gang enhancements, and were booked into Merced County Jail. Neither man remains in custody, according to jail records.
