A male victim suffered a gunshot wound late Sunday in Planada, according to the Merced County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting was reported about 6:30 p.m. near Childs Avenue and Plainsburg Road, Undersheriff Jason Goins confirmed. Few details were immediately available, including whether the victim was an adult.
