Merced man has stolen from farmers, deputies say. They found him in a closet
A wanted Merced man was in custody on Tuesday after being arrested with stolen property the day before, according to the Merced County Sheriff’s Office.
The Merced County Sheriff’s Supervised Release Team found 30-year-old Matthew Bollinger in the 700 block of Junipero Court in Merced on Monday afternoon, according to deputies.
He was wanted on a warrant for assault with a deadly weapon and possession of stolen property, deputies said. Authorities said they believe Bollinger has stolen from farmers in the Planada, Le Grand and Merced areas.
Deputies found Bollinger hiding in a closet. He’s held in lieu of $40,000 bail, according to jail records.
