Officers arrest suspected gang member after gun, drugs found in car, Merced police say
A suspected gang member has been arrested after a gun and drugs were found in his car, according to police.
Daniel Reynosa, 34, was arrested by Merced Police Gang Violence Suppression Unit officers about 3:41 p.m. Friday, outside a home on the 1400 block of Louise Avenue, according to a news release.
Authorities said the officers contacted Reynosa, who was parked in front of a known drug house. While conducting a probation search of his vehicle, officers located a handgun, ammunition and 28 grams of packaged heroin, police said.
According to authorities, Reynosa was arrested and booked into the Merced County Jail on suspicion of weapons charges, drug charges and gang enhancement.
