Los Banos shooting endangers lives of three sleeping children, police say

Los Banos police are asking for information regarding a shooting that endangered the lives of three young children.

The incident occurred Thursday, Feb. 13 around 4 a.m. in the 200 block of G Street, according to a news release.

Police arrived at a Los Banos home following reports of multiple shots fired, and discovered bullet holes just inches from where three children ages 5, 10 and 12 were sleeping.

Police suspect the incident to be gang related, although the ongoing investigation is in its early stages and many questions remain, the release says.

Detectives are continuing to speak with witnesses and examine evidence.
