Authorities investigating assault, robbery in south Merced

Merced police are looking for a suspect who robbed and assaulted a man around 12:30 p.m. Thursday near Dinkey Creek Avenue and Brimmer Road.

The suspect allegedly assaulted a 20-year-old man and stole some of his property. The victim received treatment at a local medical facility for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The suspect was described as being a Hispanic male in his 20s, 5-feet-10-inches tall with a skinny build, wearing dark clothing.
