Sheriff’s Office looking for suspect who robbed dairy workers in Gustine, deputies say
The Merced County Sheriff’s Office is asking the community for help after a suspect allegedly assaulted and robbed dairy workers in Gustine.
Deputies responded the the a dairy in the 26000 block of Fahey Road at about 2:18 a.m. Wednesday, after two dairy employees reported that a man assaulted them with a handgun and robbed them at gunpoint, according to a Merced County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.
According to Deputy Daryl Allen, the suspect allegedly struck the two male male victims with the handgun, causing injury. The assailant took personal items from the men.
The suspect was wearing a a black hoodie sweater with the hood puled over his head, grey pants, dark colored shoes, white gloves and a red and white bandanna covering his face, authorities said.
The victims reported that the suspect spoke fluent Spanish and he was last seen leaving the area on foot. The weapon used in the crime has not been located.
