Atwater shooting injures two people, police say
Atwater police are investigating a shooting that injured two men Friday evening.
Details are preliminary and no suspect information or motive has been released.
Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1000 block of Poppy Hills Drive just after 10 p.m., according to police.
One of the men suffered a gunshot wound to the leg while the other man suffered a grazing wound, according to police.
The victim with the leg injury was taken to a hospital outside of the county for treatment. Both men’s injuries were reported to be non-life threatening, according to police.
