Police are asking for the public’s help locating two people identified as persons of interest in connection with a March 13 Los Banos homicide.

Los Banos police have identified 41-year-old Arviel Hernandez and 21-year-old Carlos Hernandez, as persons of interest in the death of 31-year-old Rigoberto Fernandez Perez, according to a Los Banos Police Department Facebook post.

Police said the men were known to the victim in the case and are believed to be avoiding investigators.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Pacheco Boulevard and Mercey Springs Road at about 3:44 a.m. March 13 after reports of a disturbance between the victim and at least three other men, police said.

According to police, the victim suffered gunshot wounds to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives ask anyone with information on the whereabouts of Arviel Hernandez or Carlos Hernandez to contact Det. Surina Gonzales at 209-827-2524 or Det. Richard Mancera at 209-827-2529.
