Man found with gunshot wounds after report of shooting in Los Banos, police say
Authorities are investigating a shooting that injured a man in Los Banos on Thursday, police said.
Los Banos police officers were dispatched to the area of Stonewood Drive and Marsala Street at about 1:46 a.m. for a report of shots fired, according to a news release.
After arriving on scene, officers located a 26-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a Modesto area hospital and is undergoing treatment for his injuries, according to police.
Police said all leads are being investigated and detectives believe the shooting has connections to local criminal street gangs. The police department is continuing utilize additional resources to investigate and prevent gang violence, according to the release.
