Suspects on the run after shooting at vehicle in Livingston, police say

Authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred along Main Street in Livingston.

At about 8:54 p.m. Saturday, Livingston police officers responded to a shooting in the 400 block of Main Street in front of the Rite Aid, according to a news release.

Officers found a disabled vehicle with several people in the area, including a passerby and the victims, a 28-year-old man from San Jose and a 27-year-old woman from Merced. Police learned that the suspects fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers.

The suspect vehicle has been described as a white or silver four-door sedan with at least two male occupants that fled south on Main Street, police said.

Police said the victim vehicle was struck multiple times by gunfire, but no injuries were reported.

According to police, investigators have not yet determined a motive for the shooting.
