Search warrant leads to arrest after firearm and narcotics are found, Merced police say

Merced police Gang Violence Suppression Unit officers located a firearm and narcotics while issuing a search warrant Saturday morning, leading the arrest of a man, according to police.

The officers conducted the search in the 2400 block of Brookdale Drive about 9:05 a.m. Saturday, according to a social media post by the Merced Police Department.

Officers located a firearm, ammunition, narcotics, scales and packaging material at a residence.

Daniel Lis, 55, was arrested on suspicion of sales of narcotics and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, according to police.
