Merced police ask for public’s help to identify bank robber

Merced police are requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect who robbed a PNC Bank last week.

Officers responded at 4:54 p.m. Oct. 27 to the bank at 3065 G Street, according to Merced police Lt. Emily Foster.

Police say a masked person wearing a turquoise sweatshirt robbed the bank before getting away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Merced police detectives obtained surveillance video from the bank which captured images of the suspect, according to a Merced Police Department social media post.

Foster said no injuries were reported in the robbery. Detectives have asked for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
