Man dies after being shot at Beachwood gas station, Merced County Sheriff’s deputies say

Merced County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a man died from gunshot wounds Sunday at a Beachwood-area gas station.

After receiving calls of shots being fired, deputies responded just after 6 p.m. to the Shop-N-Go gas station at the corner of Beachwood Drive and Oakland Avenue, according to a news release.

The man was found on the ground outside the station. Despite attempts by first responders to save his life, the man died at the scene.

Deputies have launched a homicide investigation.
