‘Future threat’ made against Los Banos-area school, police say. Here’s what we know

Officers from the Los Banos Police Department said on Facebook this weekend that they are aware of a “future threat” against a school in the area.

While officers didn’t detail what kind of threat was made or what school the threat was against, they did say the threat circulated on social media and the department is investigating. Los Banos officers found the person who made the original post, they said, and didn’t believe any students or schools to be in danger as of late Sunday morning.

“Public safety will always be a priority for us and we appreciate everyone who brought this post to our attention,” officers said in their Facebook post.

Calls to the Los Banos Unified School District and the Los Banos Police Department weren’t immediately returned on Monday morning.
