Suspect sought in 7-Eleven robbery in south Merced, police say
Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a 7-Eleven in south Merced early Friday morning.
Officers responded to the 2255 E Gerard Ave. location at 4:32 a.m., according to a news release. The store clerk said the robber entered and demanded all of the cash from the register. The clerk complied and the robber fled the area with $180 before officers arrived at the scene.
The suspect has been described as a Hispanic man in his 30s, with brown hair, brown eyes, approximately 5-feet-8-inches tall, weighing around 140 pounds, according to the release.
He was wearing a hooded Raiders sweatshirt and a brown hat .
