One person killed, another hospitalized after shooting in Merced County, sheriff says

The Merced County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another injured at a party in Livingston, according to authorities.

Early Sunday morning, deputies responded to a report of a shooting at a party in the area of Sunset Drive and Washington Boulevard in Livingston, according to a Sheriff’s Office social media post.

Authorities said one shooting victim was pronounced dead at the scene and another victim was flown to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Merced County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Bureau is investigating the incident.
